On April 21, China Unicom released its core operational data for the first quarter of 2026.
In terms of connectivity business, as of March 2026, the total number of connected users reached 1.290 billion; the cumulative number of 5G network users reached 242 million; and the total number of IoT terminal connections reached 755 million.
In computing power business, as of March 2026, China Unicom Cloud had 438,000 major government and enterprise customers, while the number of paying users for cloud-intelligence products reached 112 million.
Regarding service quality, smart customer service accounted for 85.6% of total interactions, and the satisfaction rate for customer issue resolution stood at 96.5%.
In security business, as of March 2026, the number of major government and enterprise customers for security services reached 468,000.
