The China Mobile Procurement and Bidding Network recently announced the candidates selected for the centralized procurement project of PON equipment for the years 2025 to 2026. The candidates selected are, in order: Shanghai Nokia Bell Co., Ltd., the consortium of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and Huawei Technical Services Co., Ltd., ZTE Corporation, and FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd.
According to the previously released invitation for competitive negotiation, the procurement includes approximately 2.656 million PON ports, 7,857 subracks, 554,000 MDU devices, 15 centralized network management systems, and 1,742 intelligent boards, utilizing the expansion method of existing network equipment for construction.
