OPPO launched its first self-developed chip MariSilicon X after 4 years of R&D effort, the Company's Founder & CEO Chen Mingyong announced at the OPPO Inno Day 2021 lately hosted.
It is the first NPU chip single-handedly designed and developed for imaging.
Prior to OPPO, Huawei HiSilicon, Alibaba, and UNISOC in Mainland China had allegedly affirmed capacity of making 6 nm chip design. MariSilicon X will be manufactured by TSM.
