According to the Ministry of Commerce, China decide to conduct anti-dumping review on imported optical fiber preforms from Japan in terms of dumping acts and extent. This review starts from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 when export price, normal value and extent of dumping of optical fiber preforms imported from Japan are included.
On July 10, 2018, after the final review, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on imported optical fiber preforms originating in Japan and in the United States for five years.
On August 9, 2019, on behalf of China's optical fiber preform industry, YOFC, Hengtong Optoelectronics, Futong Group, Fiberhome, and ZTT turned to the Ministry of Commerce for help, arguing that producers of optical fiber preforms in Japan have increased dumping business activities during the implementation of anti-dumping measures in China, which exceeded the current anti-dumping tax rate applicable, so they asked for an anti-dumping review from Chinese government in terms of dumping behaviors and extent.
