According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, by the end of July, the total number of mobile phone subscribers of the three major operators reached 1.59 billion. That is a year-on-year growth of 4.4%. The number of new subscribers increased 5.28 million compared to the last month. Among them, 4G subscribers were 1.24 billion, accounting for 78.2% of mobile phone subscribers, which rose by 3.8 percentage points compared to the end of the previous year.
By the end of July, the total number of fixed-line broadband access subscribers of the three major operators reached 439 million. That is a net increase of 31.55 million compared to the end of the previous year. The number of fixed-line broadband access subscribers with an access rate above 1000M reached 483,000.
