After 39 years, new progress has finally made in the legislation of the Telecommunications Act since it was proposed in 1980.
According to information from the Policy and Regulation Division of MIIT on January 24, 2019, the first seminar of legislative panel on Telecommunications Act was held in Beijing.
Liang Zhifeng, director of department, reveals that the Telecommunications Act has been included in the legislative plan of the 13th National People's Congress Standing Committee. The next five years will be a crucial for legislation of telecommunications law.
